Thank you for using the LifePicks Bookstore Chrome Extension ("the Extension"). This page explains how the Extension handles your data and our commitment to your privacy.
What data do we collect?
The Extension does not collect any personally identifiable information. Book data you save to your shelf (including title, author, reading status, tags, notes, etc.) is stored in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local) and will not be uploaded to any server or third party unless you have enabled sync.
Do we use cookies or tracking?
The Extension itself does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or any analytics tools to monitor your behavior. The website (lifepicksbookstore.com) uses Google Tag Manager for traffic analysis, but this applies only to the website and does not involve any data inside the Extension.
Data security
When sync is not enabled, all data is stored locally in your browser and you have full control over it. We recommend using the export feature to back up your shelf data regularly, in case data is lost due to browser reinstallation or storage clearing.
