Thank you for using the LifePicks Bookstore Chrome Extension and iOS/Android app (together, "our Products"). This page explains how our Products handle your data and our commitment to your privacy.
What data do we collect?
Our Products do not collect any personally identifiable information, and no account or sign-up is required. Data you save to your shelf (including title, author, reading status, collections, quotes, etc.) is stored only on your local device (your browser's chrome.storage.local, or the app's local storage) and is never uploaded to any server. If you use the shelf export/import (CSV) feature, data only moves between your own devices when you choose to do so — we never see or store that file.
Third-party bookstore links
Purchase links in the app open external bookstore websites such as Eslite, Books.com.tw, Kobo, and Readmoo. These sites are operated independently by their own companies, and their data collection and privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policies — please refer to each site directly.
Do we use cookies or tracking?
Neither the Extension nor the app uses cookies, tracking pixels, or any analytics tools to monitor your behavior, and neither integrates any advertising or third-party tracking SDKs. The website (lifepicksbookstore.com) uses Google Tag Manager for traffic analysis, but this applies only to the website and does not involve any data inside the Extension or the app.
Data security
All data is stored locally on your device (browser or phone), and you have full control over it. We recommend using the export feature to back up your shelf data regularly, in case data is lost due to browser reinstallation, app removal, or switching devices.
